TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) is the most widely adopted enterprise architecture framework in the world, used by over 80% of the world's leading enterprises. Our TOGAF training program — also available as formation TOGAF certifiée in French — prepares enterprise architects, solution architects, IT managers, and transformation leads to understand, apply, and govern architecture using the TOGAF standard.

What is TOGAF? — Qu'est-ce que TOGAF ?
TOGAF is a comprehensive framework for enterprise architecture that provides a systematic approach to designing, planning, implementing, and governing enterprise information technology architecture. Developed and maintained by The Open Group, TOGAF has been adopted by organizations worldwide as the standard methodology for aligning IT strategy with business objectives.
The heart of TOGAF is the Architecture Development Method (ADM) — a step-by-step process for developing enterprise architecture. The ADM consists of a preliminary phase plus eight phases (A through H) and a central requirements management process. Each phase produces specific deliverables that feed into subsequent phases, creating a repeatable, governable architecture development cycle.

TOGAF Practitioner

Information Systems Architecture
Day 2–3Develop data and application architectures. Model application components, data entities, integration patterns, and information flows.
Technology Architecture
Day 3Define the target technology platform: infrastructure, networks, middleware, and deployment topology. Map technology to application components.
Opportunities & Solutions
Day 3–4Identify transition architectures, group work packages, and perform initial implementation planning. Evaluate build-vs-buy and migration strategies.
Migration Planning
Day 4Finalize the migration plan: prioritize projects, define transition states, establish dependencies, and create the implementation roadmap.
Implementation Governance
Day 4Establish architecture contracts, monitor implementation conformance, and ensure that projects deliver according to the target architecture.
Architecture Change Management
Day 4–5Manage changes to the architecture, establish criteria for triggering new ADM cycles, and maintain the architecture capability over time.

The Foundation track requires no prior TOGAF knowledge — it is ideal for architects and managers new to enterprise architecture frameworks. The Practitioner track builds on Foundation-level understanding and is designed for professionals who will actively apply TOGAF in their organization.

TOGAF defines what to do (the ADM process, deliverables, and governance). ArchiMate defines how to model it (the visual notation for enterprise architecture). Sparx Enterprise Architect is the tool that brings both together in a single, governed repository.
Our TOGAF training integrates all three throughout the curriculum. When we teach ADM Phase B (Business Architecture), participants model business capabilities and processes in ArchiMate using Sparx EA. When we teach Phase C (Information Systems Architecture), they model application components and data flows. When we teach Phase E (Opportunities & Solutions), they create transition architectures and migration roadmaps — all in the same repository.
This integration means that participants finish the training with hands-on experience creating TOGAF deliverables in the tools they will use in their daily work. No other TOGAF training provider in Belgium or France offers this level of practical tool integration.
